Belief Coding Therapist & Certified Life Coach

I am a wife, mother to 3 adult children, grandmother to 7 and 1 dog, life can be busy but that’s exactly how I like it. 

​

When I was a child, I wanted to be a social worker, but getting pregnant and married at 17 put pay to that. However 45 years old and working in finance, I decided I wanted to work helping people so I got a job in Housing.  I became a Mediation and homeless prevention officer, then a Family Support worker and onto working with young people with high and complex needs for well over 10 years.  It was extremely challenging but also very rewarding.

I love learning, walking to keep fit... and building my knowledge around health and wellbeing daily are my passions. 

 

I have reinvented myself and had many jobs over the years from hairdressing to finance manager, running a pub in London to working in housing.

 

I have a wealth of knowledge: training and life experiences that I can call upon to help facilitate change in people’s lives.​ 

 

I have trained in many areas of mental health and wellbeing, coaching and counselling but my absolute favourite is Belief Coding of which I am an accredited therapist. 

​

If I had this pioneering, groundbreaking modality back when I was working in support it would have benefited and changed the pathway of many lives.

 

Belief Coding was the missing link to healing!

About Belief Coding

What is Belief Coding and what can it help with?

 

Belief coding is a groundbreaking rela relatively new therapy that’s transforming lives, created by Jessica Cunningham.

 

We all have what's called ‘beliefs & limiting beliefs’ or adaptives and maladaptives’. These are things we believe to be true about ourselves and the world around us, opinions, state of mind, and put together make up our personality.

 

Most of these beliefs are subconscious and created in childhood through our experiences, inherited from our parents, educators at school and college, etc. As we go through life we look for and find evidence to confirm these beliefs are true and add a few new ones along the way!

 

Limiting beliefs stop us from doing things we want to do and moving forward in our lives. They keep us stuck. They can also be defence mechanisms- psychological coping strategies your mind subconsciously uses to keep you safe, stuck in what you know, doing something new can be scary....right!

 

We tell ourselves we are not good enough, we don’t have time....restricting ourselves from living a life we really want to live

 

Because we hold these beliefs in our subconscious most of us aren’t even aware of them - this is where belief coding comes in.  It taps into the subconscious to understand where certain thoughts, feelings and beliefs come from in a safe and effective way, to safely change self-limiting beliefs that no longer serve us.

 

Belief coding changes these beliefs at the subconscious level. This is really important as the subconscious is running the show 95% of the time. We go into autopilot; think about a journey you’ve taken....maybe driving to work and you arrived but didn’t remember the journey, your brain took over, drove the car and got you there safely while your mind was focused on other things!!

 

We bring the subconscious into the conscious which is also a Freudian theory!

 

Belief Coding incorporates principles of positive psychology, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) EFT (EEmotional Focused Therapy), Meditaton, Kinesiology, Emoton code and energy healing but is very much its own modality.

 

How long does it Take? Some things can be resolved in one session, for example, phobias, goal se ng, ge ng focused, habits etc. Other more serious issues may need a block session, for example, depressions, PTSD.

How long does it last? The good news is, it lasts forever…once we have released it, it’s gone for good, unless there is a secondary gain, in other words, there are two beliefs connected with the one issue. I might add this is rare but does happen on occasion. In the case of a secondary gain, we work out what it is and resolve it with another session.
